To the veterans of the Great Patriotic War,
citizens of the city of Bila Tserkva
of Kyiv oblast
Dear friends!
I sincerely congratulate you on the memorable date – the 70th liberation anniversary of Bila Tserkva from fascist invaders.
Occupation of your land has ended on January 4, 1944. It has left behind a deep wound of grief and pain. Thousands of citizens of the city were tortured and around three thousand were forcibly transferred to Germany.
Today there are still alive both witnesses of that period of subjugation and liberators of Bila Tserkva from fascist invasion. Thus, as long as our hearts are beating, we should lodge in the memory and pass recollections of the events of the Great Patriotic War to our descendants. We should bow in respect to the military men-liberators for their heroic feat and self-sacrifice.
I wish our dear veterans and all the citizens of Bila Tserkva sound health, long life, love of their near ones, family comfort and welfare!
